Castle Douglas charm 🏡✨
The brekkie was on another level! Fresh fruit, smoked salmon with scrambled eggs, and Linda's warm vibe made morning so lekker. The room reminded me of a proper home away from home, and she even had a killer list of local places.
Bit noisy at night with the hustle and bustle outside.

Excellent place for staying in the centre of Castle Douglas. An impeccably clean and reasonably priced room with crisp bedding, bedroom, for instance. Great area, very central location right by 3 or 4 restaurants for dinner, the shops, cafes and restaurants, and the Garden of Cosmic Speculation. Outstanding and superb fruit and eggs for breakfast...
Beds were a little firm.

Spent 2 nights in the Beautiful King Room. The owner, Kate, welcomed me warmly and shared local tips. The room was large, well-appointed, with a comfortable bed, made sleeping a delight. Breakfast options were superb, especially the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. It's just a short stroll to the shops and restaurants. The bed felt uneven on one side, causing a few uncomfortable moments during the night. The coffee at breakfast took a while to arrive, inconvenient. The location is lively, but the noise from outside could be a distraction in the evenings.

Parking was simple enough, but it lacked secure options, which could be a concern for those worried about their vehicles. Some rooms faced the street, resulting in noise distractions during busy hours, and the views were pretty limited, just looking out on the street and neighboring houses. There could be a few more breakfast options. A couple of guests wanted more variety in cereals and juices. To top it off, TV quality varied.

Wonderful stay with fab breakfast!
Just spent 3 nights in a Beautiful King Room. Kate was super friendly and even helped me with my phone charger. The room was cozy, and breakfast had lots of yummy local options. A bit noisy at night, though, with all the restaurants close by.
